Match Report for Women's Blues v Nottingham on 03 November 2004

Home win 63-48

After a slow start in the first quarter, the Blues took control of the pace ending the half with a score of 39-18. Fast breaking was the key, combined with numerous Nottinham turnovers. In the third quarter, Nottingham closed the gap by making numerous foul shots that were the result of sloppy defense by the Blues. Also in the third, Lambert went down with a meniscal tear injury and ended up in hospital. On a positive note however, everyone on the team had ample playing time and worked well together on the court. In the end, the Blues walked away with 63-48 victory, although perhaps not as outstanding as they had wanted. Nonetheless, the Blues are ready for their next opponents, Lincoln, and have been working very hard to improve their game.
