Match Report for Men's Twos v Cambridge on 14 November 2004

Away defeat 91-68

With less than six minutes to play, Cambridge led by seven, 74 -67. And then went on a 17 - 1 run to finish the game. Point guard JD Ridgeway fouled out in the fourth quarter, and the Twos turned the ball over and struggled to score against the 1-3-1 zone in a crucial three-minute period when the Tabs pull ahead by 13.

The closest thing to a complete game yet, the Twos were within grasp of a huge Tabs upset until the final five minutes, leading for awhile in the second quarter. Tom Parker led the Twos with 29 points, and Theo Patsias added a strong inside presence to compliment all-around solid defense. The team continues to make too many mental errors and little mistakes to win against teams that are much bigger and can dominate on the boards. But the team also continues to make big strides and was an ending-spurt away from its first victory. The rematch at home in February will be highly anticipated.
